Wood and Opal Glass Flush Mount Ceiling Light, Brass

A turned wood disc, a brushed brass canopy cup and an opal frosted glass globe come together in this semi-flush ceiling light. The mix of natural wood, soft white glass and warm metal gives it a mid-century feel that also suits Japandi and modern farmhouse rooms. Its low profile works well with standard ceiling heights in bedrooms, hallways, kitchens and home offices. Its compact size also makes it a good pick for a walk-in closet or a small landing.

The opal globe encloses the bulb and spreads light downward and to the sides, while the wood disc reflects a warm tone back into the room. It takes a standard E26 or E27 screw-base LED bulb, which is not included, and runs on AC 110V to 120V household power. The fixture measures 28cm across and 15cm tall. Choose Wood Color and White or Walnut Color and White.

It is made from solid wood, opal frosted glass and brass metal. Dust the wood with a dry cloth and wipe the glass when cool. As a hardwired ceiling light, installation by a licensed electrician is recommended. Pair the walnut version with dark green walls and leather seating, or choose the lighter wood with white linen bedding for fresh, simple bedroom decor.

• Cleaning: Dust with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads and spraying liquid directly on the item.
• Lighting safety: Switch off the power and let bulbs cool before cleaning or changing them. Use the bulb type and wattage listed in the description.
• Hardwired fixtures: Ceiling lights, pendants and wired wall sconces should be installed by a licensed electrician in line with local building codes. Plug-in lamps are ready to use with a standard US outlet.
• Outdoor and solar: Place solar panels where they get several hours of direct sunlight a day, and bring delicate pieces indoors during severe weather.
• Mirrors and wall decor: Hang with wall anchors rated for the item's weight, and check the fixings from time to time.
