Rustic House Shape Glass Wall Sconce, Brown Aluminum

This rustic wall sconce is shaped like a little house, with a rectangular body and square glass panels set in a brown aluminum frame. The simple, cottage inspired form brings a sense of home and warmth to any wall. It suits living rooms and bedrooms, and looks especially charming in cabins, farmhouses and country style spaces. The brown finish blends easily with wood paneling, exposed beams and natural textures.

The single light uses an E26 bulb, sold separately, and works with LED, incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. Light shines through the glass panels for a soft, lantern like glow that sets a relaxed mood. The fixture measures 20cm wide and 40cm tall, a good size for flanking a bed, a door or a fireplace. Use a warm LED or a vintage style filament bulb to enhance the rustic character.

The frame is aluminum with glass panels, and the fixture is rated for dry locations. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth once the bulb has cooled, and dust the frame regularly. Hang a pair on each side of a bed or a hallway door for a welcoming look. Style it with plaid throws, stoneware and a woven basket for a cozy cabin feel. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.

• Lighting safety: Switch off the power and let bulbs cool before cleaning or changing them. Use the bulb type and wattage listed in the description.
• Hardwired fixtures: Ceiling lights, pendants and wired wall sconces should be installed by a licensed electrician in line with local building codes. Plug-in lamps are ready to use with a standard US outlet.
• Outdoor and solar: Place solar panels where they get several hours of direct sunlight a day, and bring delicate pieces indoors during severe weather.
• Mirrors and wall decor: Hang with wall anchors rated for the item's weight, and check the fixings from time to time.
