Japanese White Ceramic Drum Pendant Light, Copper

This Japanese pendant light pairs a smooth white ceramic drum shade with a warm copper fitting for a quiet, handcrafted look. Its simple form brings a sense of calm to living rooms, bedrooms and dining areas, and it fits naturally into Japandi, minimalist and wabi-sabi interiors. Hang it over a low table, a bedside or a kitchen counter, where the ceramic and copper can be seen up close.

It comes in two designs, A and B, both in White. Design A is slightly wider and Design B is a little slimmer, while both stand at the same height. The light takes one E26 bulb, sold separately, and works with LED, incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. The ceramic drum directs light downward, creating a soft pool of light that is well suited to dining tables and reading spots.

The fitting is copper and the shade is ceramic. The fixture is not preassembled, and it is a hardwired light for dry indoor locations. Installation by a licensed electrician is recommended. Wipe the ceramic with a soft, damp cloth and dry the copper with a soft cloth. For a serene dining nook, hang Design A above a light wood table with linen cushions and a simple stoneware vase.

• Cleaning: Dust with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads and spraying liquid directly on the item.
• Lighting safety: Switch off the power and let bulbs cool before cleaning or changing them. Use the bulb type and wattage listed in the description.
• Hardwired fixtures: Ceiling lights, pendants and wired wall sconces should be installed by a licensed electrician in line with local building codes. Plug-in lamps are ready to use with a standard US outlet.
• Outdoor and solar: Place solar panels where they get several hours of direct sunlight a day, and bring delicate pieces indoors during severe weather.
• Mirrors and wall decor: Hang with wall anchors rated for the item's weight, and check the fixings from time to time.
