Rectangular Alabaster Wall Sconce, Stone Wall Light

A rectangular panel of carved alabaster is held against the wall by metal clips at the top and bottom on this stone wall sconce. The organic veining shows through when lit, creating a warm, inviting glow with a clean, modern outline. The low-profile mount stays out of the way, so it suits narrow hallways, stairwells, bedside corridors and bathroom vanities.

Light from inside the fixture filters through the semi-translucent slab, which removes harsh glare and leaves soft, diffused ambient light. Two sizes are offered, measuring 15cm x 27cm or 14cm x 46cm, with Brass and White or Black and White hardware. The light source varies by model and may be an E12, E14 or G9 LED bulb or an integrated LED panel. It runs on standard AC 110V to 120V power.

The panel is natural alabaster with metal hardware, so color and veining vary from piece to piece. Clean the stone with a soft, dry cloth only. This is a hardwired wall light, and installation by a licensed electrician is recommended. Line a staircase with the smaller size for a gentle guide light, or place the taller size on each side of a mirror with warm brass taps and white tile.

• Cleaning: Dust with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads and spraying liquid directly on the item.
• Lighting safety: Switch off the power and let bulbs cool before cleaning or changing them. Use the bulb type and wattage listed in the description.
• Hardwired fixtures: Ceiling lights, pendants and wired wall sconces should be installed by a licensed electrician in line with local building codes. Plug-in lamps are ready to use with a standard US outlet.
• Outdoor and solar: Place solar panels where they get several hours of direct sunlight a day, and bring delicate pieces indoors during severe weather.
• Mirrors and wall decor: Hang with wall anchors rated for the item's weight, and check the fixings from time to time.
