Faux Alabaster Column Wall Sconce, LED Light Bar

A translucent rectangular column of imitation alabaster resin is the centerpiece of this wall sconce. The stone-like column shows soft veining when lit and sits against a flat stainless steel backplate, framed by a metal cage of intersecting crossbars. The result is an architectural, gallery-style light that suits modern living rooms, hallways, entryways and bedrooms. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally, so it works as a tall accent or a long horizontal light bar.

An integrated LED light bar glows through the resin for diffused light at the front and a soft accent wash on the wall behind. There are no bulbs to install or replace. Choose Warm Light or Cool Light, and pick the length that suits your wall: 50cm for a single accent, 70cm for a stronger statement, or 100cm for a dramatic feature. It has a maximum power of 30W. Because this fixture is hardwired, installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.

The sconce is made of stainless steel with an imitation alabaster resin diffuser. Turn off the power and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners on the resin. Mount two vertical sconces on either side of a console or fireplace, or use one horizontally above a headboard, and pair with natural stone and linen textures.

• Cleaning: Dust with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads and spraying liquid directly on the item.
• Lighting safety: Switch off the power and let bulbs cool before cleaning or changing them. Use the bulb type and wattage listed in the description.
• Hardwired fixtures: Ceiling lights, pendants and wired wall sconces should be installed by a licensed electrician in line with local building codes. Plug-in lamps are ready to use with a standard US outlet.
• Outdoor and solar: Place solar panels where they get several hours of direct sunlight a day, and bring delicate pieces indoors during severe weather.
• Mirrors and wall decor: Hang with wall anchors rated for the item's weight, and check the fixings from time to time.
