Water-Activated Floating LED Candles, Flameless Set

These floating LED candles light up the moment they touch water, making it easy to create a glowing centerpiece in seconds. A warm amber flicker reflects off the water the way a real flame does, without wax, smoke or scorch marks. Float them in glass cylinders down a dinner table, in a wide bowl on a coffee table or in vases at a wedding reception. They suit holidays, parties and calm evenings at home.

Metal contacts on the base switch each candle on when it sits in water and off again once it is lifted out and dried, so there is no switch or remote to manage. Each Classic Round candle measures 7.1cm across, wide enough to sit steady without tipping, and offers about 200 hours of glow. Choose a set of 16 or 24 pieces for a single table or a whole event of floating candle centerpieces.

The candles have a plastic housing with an LED light unit. Fill your container with enough water to cover the base, drop the candles in base down, and group them close for a fuller glow. To turn them off, lift them out and dry the base. Keep small candles out of reach of young children. For a simple centerpiece, float three in tall glass cylinders with a few flower petals.

• Cleaning: Dust with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads and spraying liquid directly on the item.
• Lighting safety: Switch off the power and let bulbs cool before cleaning or changing them. Use the bulb type and wattage listed in the description.
• Hardwired fixtures: Ceiling lights, pendants and wired wall sconces should be installed by a licensed electrician in line with local building codes. Plug-in lamps are ready to use with a standard US outlet.
• Outdoor and solar: Place solar panels where they get several hours of direct sunlight a day, and bring delicate pieces indoors during severe weather.
• Mirrors and wall decor: Hang with wall anchors rated for the item's weight, and check the fixings from time to time.
